Root servers are sold out??

As this is only a customer forum, we unfortunately don't know that either. It's a bit strange that the servers run out even before a discount event. So the question is surely fair. The only obvious answer is probably that there are currently supply shortages of hardware.

Personally, I don't necessarily find it particularly strange given the 30-day money-back guarantee for a number of products, because I'd assume that a lot of (new) customers would make use of that if they entered a regular contract "right" before a major discount event. And it's not as if it (a) doesn't incur costs for Netcup and (b) increases the individual customer's satisfaction. Of course, that's mostly speculation on my part.

I'd say the fact that netcup is now targeting an international market has helped too

I too am waiting for one. I already have one KVM, but need to upgrade that, and buy few domains hopefully.

Do they take a long time to replenish stock?

I have not seen much time but 2 or 3 weeks at max. Like most are back in stock now. I just upgraded mine.
