This increase might make more sense for monthly contracted services but when asking for agreeing a 12 month contract in order to obtain a special monthly price this vanishes because the memory shortage? In 6 years administering 2 racks of servers for internal usage there were 2-3 memory modules needed to be replaced so I am not eating this "ram shortage bla bla bla" for the 12 month contracted plans.
You want as a company to make money, you secured a cashflow with the 12 month contract and now because of the "ram shortage" which I understand is needed for the new capacity we break the contract and increase it ... is this fair? does this make me trust you as a company for a secured 12 month fixed price or not anymore?
I would understand this increase for electrical energy but not for RAM in existing servers already booked for 12 month contracts.
Please reconsider the story and price increase for running contracts if you really want to be transparent!
The price is great, the services are ok for now, but this increase is not transparency (as I said I would understand this for a monthly contract not 12 month contract)
Personally, I wouldn't mind paying more. The service is good, and there's a continuous effort to offer the best on the market. Netcup is currently the best in terms of hardware and price. That's undeniable.
I would pay without complaint on monthly contracts, as long as I waited until the end of the 12-month period of the annually contracted services so that we could pass the increase on to the end customer.
I'm even embarrassed to call a customer to suggest a price increase when they've already signed a 12-month contract. For services contracted on a monthly basis, the client is aware that there may be price adjustments at any time. However, when contracting for 12 months, no one expects a price increase before the 12 months are up.
