Hi people
sorry, I don't understand german, so writing it in english.
I recently got a VPS PICO G11s. From SCP, I saw it already had a hostname "xxxx.happyserv.de" and that was resolving to my VPS IP.
I updated the hostname to "yyyy.happyserv.de" and also updated the rDNS record from CCP.
But 6 hours have passed, "yyyy.happserv.de" is still not resolving to my VPS IP.
It's supposed to update right? Or, am I missing something?
vServer hostname updated but DNS not resolving

The hostname “xxxx.happyserv.de” is permanently assigned by Netcup to each server and cannot be changed to “yyyy.happyserv.de”.
To do that, you'll need your own domain with DNS management.

The original rDNS hostname is forward assigned to the IP of your VPS, but normally it is only a temporary setting and should be changed to the real hostname set by you for your VPS. For (sending) mailservers that‘s essential, because receiving mailservers check if the IP of the sender matches the presented hostname. If IP 1.2.3.4 (your vps) presents as myhost.kuddelmuddel.de, a reverse DNS-Check will show, that this should be yyyy.happyserv.de and reject the email.

The confusion might stem from the new SCP UI
which might currently not even support multiple languagesand does not correctly explain the "Hostname" editable field.
theGooseMonkdid you change the hostname in the new SCP UI in the tab "General" / "Allgemein" ?Just out of curiosity was this interface available to you in English?Sorry - I was blind and did not see the EN/DE switch on the top left or the login screen, because I always directly navigate from the CCP to the SCP.
