I enquired as well, but they said contract terms or full payment unless mentioned in the contract cannot be changed.
Also, for switch from VPS to RS is not possible. You will have to fulfill the contract period and raise termination on VPS and purchase RS.

what about auto backup? if not available in netcup how do you auto backup entire VPS or Root Server?
There are Linux/Debian apps available to do that and you can always SFTP your backups.
For RS at least one backup is available. I do not recall for VPS.
have you tried dd backup of partition and restored it. why am asking because am new. linux learner. and i want to know what usually expert practice the most. the safe and sound way. what app do you use?
dd is helpful, but at times for unique reasons you can follow this answer 1st answer): https://askubuntu.com/a/7811
You can also do SquashFS. There are few apps too, but terminal wise is best resort.
You can make a complete snapshot of the server in the SCP, export it and restore the system on a new server.
You then only have to adjust network-settings and resize the partition and filesystem.
aRaphael true, but he is enquiring about outside of that. One can always make an image and load it.

there is actually no auto backup offered by netcup. otherwise, i will highly recommend prefer that for daily backups with no stress to make snapshots on weekly basis.
if the data is stored somewhere else in a vault or somewhere else like a copy that can be retrieve with a single-click restore, i have looked in to the veeam yesterday. (veeam linux agent) i think so it require NFS CIFS or drive attached as a USB. i got a lot of confusion when it comes to Virtualization (KVM). that what product actually suits the best recover in case of disaster or else. Let me know something about Veeam if that works for you ?

actually yes. Am bit new to this environment and never know if something i did myself may go wrong.
dd is helpful,
link you have mentioned is must be helpful., will try that definitely.
