how to transfer a server inside netcap

  • You could use the upgrade functionality in your customer control panel. You should keep your IP and anything else. So it is described there. I can tell you later if that works, I want to upgrade a RS 2000 to 4000, but still waiting for the system snapshot to download, in case anything goes wrong.

    WH 8000 SE BF22, VPS 500G11s BW24, VPS1000 G11 JA24, RS1000 G11, VPS2000 ARM G11 SE OST25, RS2000 G12 Pro ADV25

Ich lebe im Netzwerk, ihr findet mich unter der IP-Adresse: 127.0.0.1

  • First it's Netcup , not netcap

    Please see the screenshots.

With the snapshot I can tell you when I am ready with it. It's the first time, I do this. I cannot tell you how long it takes, waiting still since 6 hours, that the snapshot becomes ready for downloading..

  • So, that went easy. No snapshot needed. Just upgraded in CCP, 5 seconds later it was done. The only thing I had to do is expand the partition from 512 to 1000 GB. For this you can mount the live CD of GParted in SCP.
