How long does it take to reinstall a server with a Debian12 mini, for example?
No ping after reboot by terminal

It's an automated process and takes a couple of minutes. If you've started it when you wrote the comment, you're already done.

After a long struggle, especially with this horrible VNC torture, no copy/paste, no scrollbars, incompatibility with my physical keyboard; forced to use my virtual keyboard (yes, I'm on MacOs with a Dell keyboard
)...In short, we'll never know what happened? I reinstalled Debian fresh install, but still keyboard problems... Failure...
Finally the ubuntu installer is nicer, I reinstalled a clean server, re-imported my Docker and apps backups, didn't forget to reboot between each important step and everything works fine.
But really guys, do something about your VNC, I have other VPS at LWS and their virtual console is a hundred times better.
Thanks to everyone who advised me.

FYI: I've switched my VPS a few months ago from another German Hoster to Netcup.
This previous Hoster has an IMHO nice concept of running the VNC server for your VPS on a completely different IP, and always with an non standard VNC port. Plus, VNC access could be disabled/enabled on demand.
Means (pro) accessible with any VNC client/viewer. But on the other hand: I'm not aware of any VNC client for Linux (and also on Linux in my case) providing copy&paste on that level, installer. Maybe someone else knows better

And BTW... these previous provider's VNC access was aside the the pro above a complete pain in the neck, as they NEVER have been able to provide ANY meaningful keyboard layout. Not German, no US/En, just "something". I was a customer for ~10 years, and I've made my own "keyboard cheat sheet". E.g. "/", which you SOMETIMES need on Linux for typing in a PATH, was only accessible by "divided by" on the NUM keypad, not elsewhere. And for lot of other chats, like "#", you have type UTF8 numeric codes :-S
Summarized: 1st thing I've tried after ordering my VPS at Netcup was indeed testing the VNC keyboard layout... Which works like a charm

P.S.: some of your screenshots show French... that's why I of course I can understanding you
I'll never forget a training I've had to held for a French customer, in Paris. Via a customer's PC... and of course French Keyboard.... guess half of the training has to be spent by me searching keys
