How many external domains can I add to Webhosting 1000 SE iv for mail purposes?

  • so long as the email boxes and storage allocation are not exceeded

That's the limit, but note that there is also a rather low limit how many emails you can send per hour, so using a web hosting account for too many email accounts may not be a good idea after all.

How many external domains can be added to webhosting 1000 for email purposes?

Can you add as many as you like so long as the email boxes and storage allocation are not exceeded?

No, the number of external Domains usable in the Webhostings is the same as the number of inclusive domains. So it is just one (1) domains in your case. You can as much additional domains as you like, though. Additional domains are domains registered at netcup separately. You can assign as many of them as you like to your Webhosting 1000.

External domains may trigger a setup fee, though. Depending on the tariff you chose, there may be no external domains included at all.

Yes, you are right. You can add more than one to your Webhosting 1000, but you have to pay a setup fee starting with the second external domain in your case.

Does this also apply to the reseller plans?

Do external domains also incur a setup fee?

How about domains transferred to netcup or ordered from netcup?

  • There are three types of domains: included, extra and external. Included domains are included in the price of the web hosting package. Extra domains are registered through Netcup, but independently of a web hosting package. External domains are domains you register through a different registrar.

Included domains in a web hosting package can only be used with that package, and there is a limited number of them. If you cancel an included domain, the slot isn't automatically freed for a new domain, but you can have a new included domain for a one-time fee.

Extra domains cost the domain price, but can then be assigned to any web hosting package at no additional cost and can be used with all features of that package. There is no limit to the number of extra domains, except the resource limits of the web hosting package, like number of subdomains, email accounts, etc., as is the case with all types of domains.

External domains can be assigned to any web hosting package in a similar way, and there is no limit to the number of domains, just like with extra domains. Unlike extra domains, assigning external domains is only free up to the number of external domains listed in the hosting package description. Any external domain assigned beyond that number incurs a one-time fee.
