es heißt GByte, Gi(ps)Byte gibt es nicht;
das was Du meinst ist schlicht eine kranke Erfindung;
Was hast Du jetzt schon wieder mit Gi(ps)Byte erfunden??? Also von sowas hab ich nie geredet.

Da gibt es genau so Umrechnungen und 2012 kam das auch da vor, sowie wird in der Berufsschule unterrichtet...

For backward compatibility fdisk also accepts the suffixes KB=1000, MB=1000*1000, and so on for GB, TB, PB, EB, ZB and YB. These 10^N suffixes are deprecated.
