Hi 👋 Just did a fresh install of CloudPanel using a sudo user (not the root user), and was able to access the panel with the IP:Port and Subdomain:Port (which means the A record is configured correctly), but when I try to configure CloudPanel Custom Domain it keeps giving me an error:
sub.domain.tld: Domain could not be validated, error message: error type: urn:ietf:params:acme:error:connection, error detail: XX.XX.XX.XX: Fetching https://sub.domain.tld/.well-known/acme-challenge/abc123: Timeout during connect (likely firewall problem)
I also tried adding a Reverse Proxy site and issue a Let's Encrypt certificate and I got the same result... I also checked the Security and all ports should be correctly opened as it is a fresh install on both the VPS and CloudPanel, so everything has the default configurations.
I can access the panel on both https://ip:8443/ and https://sub.domain.tld:8443/, and sudo ufw status verbose returns:
- 22/tcp ALLOW IN Anywhere
- 80/tcp ALLOW IN Anywhere
- 443 ALLOW IN Anywhere
- 8433:8443/tcp ALLOW IN Anywhere
- 443/udp ALLOW IN Anywhere
- 22/tcp (v6) ALLOW IN Anywhere (v6)
- 80/tcp (v6) ALLOW IN Anywhere (v6)
- 443 (v6) ALLOW IN Anywhere (v6)
- 8433:8443/tcp (v6) ALLOW IN Anywhere (v6)
- 443/udp (v6) ALLOW IN Anywhere (v6)
My CloudFlare SSL is set to Full, I also added a AAAA record pointing to the server IPv6, and all my records are DNS only.
I'm using a very new VPS, a fresh OS, and a fresh install for CloudPanel, but are there any restrictions I am not aware that would prevent the server to be accessible on port 80 and/or 443?
Not sure to what exactly is the issue here. Any guidance would be appreciated 🙏
Thank you!
