Hi everyone,
I’m new to netcup and this is my first time working with a Managed Private
Server. Until now I’ve always hosted my projects on shared hosting packages,
so the managed server setup is a bit different for me.
For reference, my product is: **Managed PS 2000 G12 iv NUE**.
I currently have two issues and would really appreciate some guidance:
1) Plesk interface language
In Plesk I only see **German** as an available interface language.
However, in my netcup Customer Control Panel my account language is set to
**English**.
Despite this, Plesk remains in German and does not offer English as an
option.
Is this normal for the “Managed PS 2000 G12 iv NUE” plan, or is there a way
to enable the English language pack?
2) Adding domains in Plesk
When I try to add a domain in Plesk, I get the following error:
“Dieser Domainname kann nicht verwendet werden, da er auf einem anderen
Server aufgelöst wird. Um das Problem zu beheben, ändern Sie die Richtlinie
unter ‘Tools & Einstellungen’ > ‘Unzulässige Domainnamen’ (unter
‘Sicherheit’) oder wenden Sie sich an Ihren Hosting-Provider.”
In the Managed version of Plesk, the menu “Unzulässige Domainnamen” is not
available, so I cannot change this policy myself.
I need to add domains before changing DNS, because I prepare and test my
sites via the hosts file. At the moment, Plesk does not allow me to add any
domain that resolves elsewhere.
If anyone has experience with netcup Managed Private Servers or this
specific package, I would be very grateful for your advice.
