It did actually work eventually, it just seems that ive had to edit the networking file with the recovery system before booting up the server. Thanks for the pointers

Editing /etc/network/interfaces mostly worked, I am now able to connect to stuff from the server, although connecting into the server still isnt possible

Nope, that would probably be the cause.
Is there a command to just reset it to default then ?

My server was running up against the storage limit and I have another one on a higher tier with more storage.

I created a snapshot and installed it on the larger server via the media->custom images section.

After I started the new server I was suddenly unable to connect to it.

The vnc console works, but no other option of connecting to it works.

Sshing into it does not work anymore. (Yes ive changed the ip adress in my local config)

Pinging localhost works, pinging anything else fails (unresolved name).

I have also checked both ufw and fail2ban and those also dont report anything wrong.

I am not sure where exactly this problem originates or how I could possibly proceed to fix/diagnose it and would like some ideas.

(As of now ive not written support, since it might aswell be a user error from something ive missed)
