Webhosting and external domains

Hi

I don't have any webhosting yet, but I've read here that we need to take some extra steps to add an external domain to a webhosting package, changing the A / AAAA records aren't enough.

Can some help me understand how to add external domain or point me to some existing information about this?

In order to add an external domain, you have to apply the complete DNS settings of netcup once when setting it up, so that it is accepted.

Once it has been accepted, you can change individual DNS records.

You have only a certain number of free external domains per web hosting package. All additional ones cost 5 € once.

Don't get Netcup webhosting if you would like to use external domains. Way too few for the size of the packages. There are others with unlimited external domains.
