Extremely slow FTP speed

    Hello.


    I'm having some issues with downloading snapshots from my server's FTP.


    I'm getting like 140KByte 0_0


    In general I can download from internet \usenet at 750+MBit from my home PC.


    How can I change FTP port from 21 to something else?


    Do I need to install proftpd and change it's config ? I don't have it installed atm,

    Are you downloading snapshots you have had created with the SCP?
    Yes? => Please contact the netcup Support. This is a board where mostly customers write.


    No? => Try to use SFTP - it's part of the SSH protocol family.

    Unlike FTP it is encrypted and you can use more then three connections at a time.
