Erste Tests VPS2000G8-Plus

  • Hallo zusammen, ich habe mal auf die schneller während der MIttagspause und dem Essen einen kleinen HDD Test gemacht.

    Gerne könnt ihr auch eure Werte bzw. ich auch im Laufe der Zeit hier Posten.

    Wichtig, diese Werte gelten für den 2000er VPS-Plus!!

    Meine Konfiguration:

    - Sockets 1 / Cores 8

    - Linux 18.04 frische Installation nur ssh


    Festplattentest mit Cache:

    Timing cached reads: 17904 MB in 1.99 seconds = 8979.43 MB/sec

    Timing buffered disk reads: 1176 MB in 3.00 seconds = 391.85 MB/sec


    Festplatte ohne Cache:

    Timing O_DIRECT cached reads: 1538 MB in 2.00 seconds = 769.04 MB/sec

    Timing O_DIRECT disk reads: 1802 MB in 3.00 seconds = 600.48 MB/sec


    Internetspeedtest:

  • Klingt gut, riecht gut. Meine Anfrage beim telefonischen Support, ob ich meinen G7-vServer upgraden lassen kann wurde aber mit nein beantwortet... IPs mitnehmen geht auch nicht...

  • Alternativ geht soweit ich weiß doch auch eine "normale" zusätzliche IP, nur der Umzug kostet eine einmalige Gebühr:

    Wenn man nur alle zwei Jahre umzieht ist das vermutlich günstiger, wenn man jedoch alle paar Monate das neuste Schnäppchen/Angebot sich gönnt ist die Failover IP günstiger. Oder man wartet ab, mindestens einmal gab es eine Failover IPv6 umsonst und eine Failover IPv4 für die Hälfte des Preies ;)

  • mlohr ich hab meinen Umzug per exportiertem snapshot erledigt. War sehr reibungslos. Ich zahl jetzt halt 1.5 Monate doppelt, das ist halt so.

    Das wäre nicht der Teil, der mich stört. Sondern der ganze externe Krams (IPs, DNS, ...).
